More progress with the little animated short I’m creating “Visiting”. I tried to get the spaceman to sit well in some camera tracked footage but it wasn’t really working so I using the camera data and mapped photography of the scene over a simple mesh.
A little banner ad for Microsoft Visual Studio. Everything created in Lightwave 3D and Photoshop with Fprime as the renderer. Dust added in After Effects.
Completed work on Intel Crack the Clues 2, creating the page designs and the 3D assets and animation of the four quadrants that the user has to crack in order to open the next level of security within the core.
Finished a bit of a 3D still life scene, building up layered materials of procedural textures to get a realistic look. Deviant Art link here, Spinquad thread here and a little video test here.
New doodle turned digital painting of a Lady in Green. I’m still having trouble with photoshop and vista but having aero on seems to help smooth things up a bit. Link to full version on deviant art.
I recently found out about blurb books and created a book using their booksmart software. Great to use and I received the book yesterday at excellent quality printing (althought I did select premium option) Check in out on my blurb page.
I’m uploading progress for “Visiting”, an animated short mixing hand-held live action and cg character animation. This projects main purpose is to develop my character rigging/animation, motion tracking and compositing skills.
Completed Halloween scene entitled “The Devils Coin” for the Spinquad 2008 halloween competition. And I’m very happy to have won Thanks to everyone at spinquad.

The video seem much clearer then alternative video sites, although you are restricted to 90 seconds of footage and it doesn’t seem to many people are pleased with this feature. I find it quite interesting for time-lapse and techniques involving photography concepts but can see a lot of junk filling up flickr.
